About the Designs

All of the designs are created using Corel Draw. (I know, such a rebel!) I'm entirely self taught in using the program and have a great time learning new things about Corel all of the time. There are usually many files that I am tinkering with at any one time. 

After the designs are completed, another file is created with all of the pieces to be cut from each type of acrylic. From there the files are sent to a laser cutter. 

Once the acrylic arrives, the assembly process begins. This usually includes painting and gluing of the pieces together. Everyone pitches in, especially with the paint fill of the etched areas. 

As the designs are handmade, minor flaws are to be expected. In my final inspection before adding to the website for sale, I attempt to select the best representatives. That said, in the future I anticipate that seconds will be sold.
